Chilly Cheese Masala Pav
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1½ tsp Maida
  • 1½ cup Milk
  • 2-3 chopped Green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 6 pcs Pav
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp grated Cheese
  • 2 medium finely chopped Onion
  • 1 large finely chopped Capsicum
  • 3pcs roughly chopped Tomatoes
  • 4-5 whole Red chillies
  • 2 pcs Green chillies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 6-7 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Pav bhaji masala
  • Salt (according to taste)

Take a chopping board and cut the pav into cubes.
Take a bowl – add the tomatoes, whole red chillies, ginger, garlic, green chillies, salt and blend it well in a blender.
Take a pan and add 1 tbsp butter.
As the butter melts, add the pav bhaji masala and the red chilli powder.
Add the blended puree and mix well.
Add lemon juice and coriander.
Allow the masala to dry.
Add the pav cubes and coat them well in the masala.
Keep it aside.

Take a pan and allow it to heat.
Add ½ tbsp butter.
Add the chopped onion and capsicum.
Add little salt.
Saute until the onions are translucent.
Keep them aside.

Take a pan and allow it to heat.
Add the 1 ½ tbsp butter, let it melt.
Add the maida and saute it on low heat until frothing.
Add the milk and stir continuously until boils.
As it starts thickening add pepper powder, salt, sauted onion and capsicum, cheese, chilli flakes and mix well.
Get it to a semi-thick consistency.
Take off the heat.
Arrange the pav cubes on a plate and blob the white sauce on the pav.
Garnish with spring onions and chilli flakes.
Serve as an all time snack.
